Britannia School is an English kindergarten in Moscow that specialises in teaching English through play to children aged 1.5 to 7 years old. We offer a full time program Monday to Friday 8:30-5pm and English classes on a Saturday.
On Saturday the 15th of April 2023, instead of our usual Saturday club in English, Britannia School will hold a traditional British Easter Egg Hunt. An Easter egg hunt is a traditional game that children play in the United Kingdom. The game involves finding chocolate Easter eggs around the garden and at home. The whole event is in English and is led by our native English-speaking teacher. Our British co-founder and head teacher Mrs Roberts has written the lesson plan for this event. This event is open to all students aged 3-7 years. There will be various other activities alongside the hunt, these include:
- Giant Easter egg hunt- Will take part in our large garden, weather permitting
- Dance/ Music lesson- Learning Easter songs such as “Hot Cross Buns” and “Chick, Chick, Chick Chicken” and taking part in dance activities such as “don’t drop the Easter egg”
- Cooking class- The children will learn how to make traditional Easter nest cakes
- Easter-themed arts and crafts- A master class on how to make Easter bonnets and how to decorate eggs
- Easter bunny story – A special story about the Easter Bunny visiting children
- A chocolate Easter egg for your child to take home
